Soma (Carisoprodol) Overview

The main component of Soma is Carisoprodol.
Soma is a muscle relaxant used to treat muscle pain and discomfort. It is commonly prescribed for short-term relief from acute musculoskeletal conditions, often in combination with rest and physical therapy.

Dosage and direction

The typical dosage for adults is 250 to 350 mg, taken three times a day and at bedtime. It should be taken orally, with or without food. Dosage adjustments may be needed based on individual health factors, and the treatment duration is generally recommended for no longer than 2-3 weeks.

Precautions

Before using Soma, inform your doctor if you have a history of liver or kidney problems, seizures, or drug or alcohol abuse. Use with caution in elderly individuals, and avoid taking alcohol or other central nervous system depressants while on Soma

Contraindications

Missed dose

Overdosing on Soma can lead to severe symptoms such as excessive drowsiness, confusion, respiratory depression, or even coma. Immediate medical attention is required in case of overdose.

Storage

Store Soma at room temperature (20-25°C or 68-77°F) in a dry place, away from light and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
